Beet pulp:

Dried beet pulp is a by-product obtained from processing sugar beets into sugar. Dried beet pulp consists mainly of dietary fiber that plays a role in regulating digestion. Thus, it is a source of fiber that stimulates the motor functions of the stomach and intestines.

Dried beet pulp contains a mixture of fermentable and non-fermentable fiber. Fermentable (fermentable) fiber plays an important role in maintaining balance in the dog’s gut. They are needed to help produce short-chain fatty acids that provide energy to the cells of the intestinal mucosa.

The right mix is important

Although fermentable fiber has an important influence on intestinal motor functions, too much of it can easily cause problems. Especially in large dog breeds, excessive fermentation activity often results in soft feces.
