Salmon oil in cats:
A healthy heart and blood vessels
EPA and DHA contribute to lower cholesterol, lower blood pressure and the stabilization of irregular heartbeat. In addition, studies have shown that these fatty acids also serve as a type of natural blood thinners that can help prevent blood clots and strokes.
Better brain development
Research has shown that the active ingredient DHA can contribute to the development of cats’ cognitive functions. It also prevents impaired nervous system function in older animals.
A stronger immune system and anti-inflammatory (allergies)
The fatty acids boost a variety of crucial processes in the body leading to an improved immune system. By reducing inflammation, many allergies can become less severe. This will bring benefits to your cat in many areas.
Reduction of stiff joints and prevention of arthritis
Research has shown that omega-3 fatty acids can restore flexibility to cats’ stiff joints, help reduce pain and swelling, as well as prevent arthritis.
Healthier skin and shiny coat
One of the many reasons salmon oil is recommended for cats is because of its positive effects on the skin and coat. Its anti-inflammatory and cell-smoothing effects have great impact on a cat’s coat and skin. Moisture is retained better which is reflected in the coat condition of your cat. Cats with skin problems such as bald spots, flaking and itching, red spots and/or a dull coat will benefit optimally from this dietary supplement.
Prevention of bladder noise
Omega-3 fatty acids such as EPA and DHA contribute to a lower PH value in the urine. This helps in the prevention of crystal formation and bladder clogging.
Beet pulp: Beet pulp is rich in minerals and soluble fiber that contribute to proper transit in the intestines.
Brewer’s yeast is rich in antioxidants that can make your cat’s skin healthier and coat shinier. Beer yeast can also be helpful if your cat suffers from itchy and dry skin.
